don't reveal, sell or rent any personal information that users provide
to us to any third party, unless stated otherwise in this policy,
required by law, or as required to protect Hey Neighbor!'s rights.

don't employ tracking devices for marketing purposes ("cookies", "web
beacons," single-pixel gifs).

don't send you unsolicited communications for marketing purposes.

offer email anonymization & relay, to reduce 3rd party harvesting & spam.
Forum
account information is password-protected. You need to keep your
password safe.
People
who post on Hey Neighbor! may provide links to third party web sites, which
may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for,
nor can we have any control over those third party web sites. We
encourage users to read the privacy policies for each web site they
visit.
Please
remember that any information you share in public areas, such as
Hey Neighbor!'s forum and classifieds ads, etc, becomes public, and therefore

Data we collect.
When
you place a classified ad on Hey Neighbor!, we collect your email address for
the purposes of sending post confirmation email, allowing respondents
to contact you, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription
email services, registering for forums, etc. We may collect personal
information if you provide it in feedback or comments, post it on
our classifieds or interactive forums, or if you contact us directly.
By sending Hey Neighbor! email, you demonstrate your consent to knowingly and
voluntarily provide us with personal information. Please do not post
any personal information on Hey Neighbor! that you expect to keep private.

does not store credit card details. Credit card transactions are
transmitted to a financial gateway 'PayPal', and to protect the security
of your payment information during transmission, Secure Sockets Layer
(SSL) technology is used.
Our
web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including
your IP address, page URL, and time-stamp. Web logs help us to diagnose
problems with our server, to administer the Hey Neighbor! site, and to otherwise
provide our service to you.
You
can choose to electronically forward a listing from our Site to a
friend by entering the friend's e-mail address. We don't sell or
share the addresses used in our "E-mail This to a Friend" service
or our alerts to any third-party.
Some
of our services require you to register for an account, such as our
forum. We will ask you for some personal information in order to
create an account (typically your name, email address and to establish
a user id and password for your account) and we will use that information
in connection with providing these services.

Data we store.
All
classified and forum postings are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and
may be archived elsewhere. Our web logs and other records are stored
indefinitely. Although we make good faith efforts to store the information
in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public,
we cannot guarantee complete security.

Archiving and display of Hey Neighbor! postings
by search engines and other sites.
Search
engines and other sites not affiliated with Hey Neighbor! - including archive.org,
google.com, and yahoo.com - may archive or otherwise make available
Hey Neighbor! postings, including resumes.

Circumstances in which Hey Neighbor! may release information.
We
may disclose personal information if we are required to do so by
law or we in good faith believe that such action is necessary to
comply with the law or with legal process, protect and defend our
rights and property, protect against misuse or unauthorized use of
the site or protect the personal safety or property of our users

Under 13's.
Hey
Neighbor!
does not knowingly collect any information from persons under the
age of 13. If Hey Neighbor! learns that a posting is by a person under the
age of 13, Hey Neighbor! will remove that post.

Security.
To
prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the
appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic
and managerial procedures to protect the information we collect.
We do not keep credit card information on our website server; all
credit card transactions occur on PayPal, which has strong security
measures in place. While we make reasonable efforts to safeguard
your personal information once we receive it, no transmission of
data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed
to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant the security
of any information you transmit to us or information we transmit
to you from our Site, and you do so at your own risk.

IP address tracking.
All
computers and servers on the Internet use IP addresses to recognize
and communicate with each other. eRoom collects IP addresses to administer
and analyze our site and report aggregate, non-personal information
(such as how many visitors we have). When you call up our site on
your computer, our servers enter the IP address of that computer
into a log. To maintain our users' anonymity, we do not associate
IP addresses with records containing personal information. We do
not and cannot use cookies or IP address tracking to retrieve personal
information from your computer.
10.
Your Ability to Access, Review and Change your Personal Information.
You
can access, review and edit your forum user profile, at any time.
You are responsible for all actions taken with your User ID and password.
Therefore you must not disclose your Hey Neighbor! forum password to any third
parties.
11.
Governing Law.
Hey
Neighbor! is published in Oregon, so Oregon law shall govern in any and
all disputes, including privacy or defamation issues or otherwise.

Sale of the Company.
If
Hey Neighbor! is sold in whole or in part, the email database and all user
information shall accrue to the new owners so that the services provided
to our users may continue uninterrupted. Any such sales are not anticipated
to otherwise alter the basic terms of this Privacy Policy.

Hey Neighbor! continues to develop, we may add new services
and features to our site. In the event that these additions, changes
